The Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke took to his X account to announce that the outfit will start a nationwide protest from October 2, similar to the first agitation which ended after the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
He stated that the agitation will start if the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, does not resign from his position by tomorrow. The latest political spark comes after the ongoing protests against the Election Commission of India, alleging that the elections conducted were ‘rigged’ in many parts of the country.
October 2 is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti across the nation, with Dipke stating the protest can be seen as a political remembrance for saving democracy.
